Each year, the Edgemont PTSA supports programs, events, and enrichment activities that directly benefit Edgemont Jr/Sr High School students.  These include support for:

  • Student-led clubs, such as Model UN, the Robotics Club, Campus, and Academic Challenge

  • Cultural arts (fine and performing arts), including microphones and makeup for the High School Drama and Musical and Jr. High Musical, instruments for the instrumental band program, transportation for the Edgemont Chamber Choir and Jazz Ensemble to various jazz festivals, and equipment and technology for the arts classrooms

  • STEM programs, including Labster (virtual lab simulations to complete laboratory experiments online), registration fees for Science Olympiad and Math Counts competitions, Sony digital camera kit and large format printer for the Science Scholars program, and an annual STEM career night, where community members speak about their STEM careers

  • Grade-wide events and field trips, such as International Day and 8th grade Ellis Island trip

  • Senior events, including Six Flags trip, pre-prom reception, prom busses, and Senior Forum

  • Parent Forums and speakers on relevant, timely topics, such as the Medical Risks of Vaping, Organizing the Disorganized Child, the Importance of Social-Emotional Learning, Understanding your Children’s Anxiety

  • Faculty and Staff recognition and appreciation events, including Welcome Back Breakfast and holiday luncheon

  • Back-to-School Night reception for parents

  • Shop at DeCicco’s in Scarsdale Village and ask them to credit the Edgemont PTSA for your purchase.

  • Volunteer your time and expertise. Whether you have an hour to help at an event or you’d like to lead a committee, there is a way for you to get involved and contribute.
