Grade Parents

Grade Parents are important liaisons between the PTSA Board and members. They are responsible for emailing families before Back to School Night, welcoming them to PTSA, and reminding them to pay their dues; partnering with the teacher team; and coordinating field trip chaperones as needed. In addition, Grade Parents coordinate grade-specific activities and communications.

  • 7th grade

    Grade Parents work with the 8th grade Grade Parents to coordinate the Jr. High Halloween Donuts and Cider Party and the Worldwide Food Festival.

  • 8th Grade

    Grade Parents work with the 7th grade Grade Parents to coordinate the Jr. High Halloween Donuts and Cider Party and the Worldwide Food Festival.

  • 9th Grade

    Grade Parents work with the 10th grade Grade Parents to coordinate the Back-to-School night reception, including ordering, setting up and cleaning up.

  • 10th Grade

    Grade Parents work with the 9th grade Grade Parents to coordinate the Back-to-School night reception, including ordering, setting up and cleaning up.

  • 11th Grade

    Grade Parents organize the Senior Graduation Reception.

  • 12th Grade

    Grade Parents work with the GO (General Organization, a student group) to organize the Senior Dinner & Video Night.


Groups & Committees

ACE (Arts & Cultural Enrichment) Committee

The ACE Committee's mission is to enhance the arts in every Edgemont discipline. The Committee invites all teachers and staff to submit proposals for arts-related initiatives and projects for the school year, which may include visiting artists and speakers, special programing, materials and equipment for non-classroom activities, new clubs, outside consultants, grade-wide assemblies and performances, etc. For information on this year’s ACE Committee meetings, see the district calendar.

Children Having Individual Learning Differences (C.H.I.L.D) Committee

The C.H.I.L.D Committee serves as a resource for families of children with learning differences. It focuses on elevating awareness, support, and connections for all children, families and educators in our community. Its mission is to create a more inclusive culture, and promote a rewarding educational experience for students of all abilities at Edgemont Jr/Sr High School. Annual Spring Fete Committee

The Spring Fete Committee works in conjunction with the PTA to plan our largest fundraiser of the year.

Faculty Welcome Back & Appreciation

These committees plan and host the Welcome Back Breakfast for all faculty, held the day before school begins for students, and the winter and spring appreciation luncheons given in honor of the faculty and staff.

Fundraising Programs

This group coordinates important fundraising opportunities including DeCicco’s and restaurant events.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee seeks out, interviews and nominates candidates for the PTSA Executive Board.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Committee

The STEM Committee is dedicated to enriching education in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math at EHS. STEM invites all teachers and staff to submit proposals for STEM-related initiatives and projects for students. These may be, but are not limited to, visiting scientists, technologists, special educational programs, materials and equipment for non-classroom activities, new clubs, outside consultants, or grade-wide field trips.
